The ward housekeeper is integral to the functioning of a clean, tidy and well-stocked ward. The housekeeper will ensure that the ward is stocked to enable clinical staff to work with everything they need whilst being mindful of the budget. The housekeeper will work closely with the Senior Sister and Matron to maintain high standards of cleanliness on the ward and liaise with the ward cleaning staff.
Some audit work will need to be undertaken periodically and the housekeeper will also work with clinical staff to maintain and improve standards.
This is an exciting opportunity for a part-time housekeeper to organise and influence how the ward works. The orthopaedic ward is currently having alterations made to change to two wards on the existing footprint and the successful candidate will be able to create their own way of working on these two areas. There is also the option to make the role up to full-time hours by working on both Ward 10 and Ward 5.
Please contact the Senior Sister for more details.
